The Garnet Multirack Driver Module 688M houses the dedicated optical transmitter designed for the Multirack. While seamlessly integrating the Spillstop module into the 808P2 system. This module securely positions itself within the 808P2 display enclosure. It then establishes direct connections with the black ground wire and the yellow alarm wire that stem from the 808P2 system.
Please note that Alarm 4 is programmed to carry out the operation of the Multitrack. Which is in line with the configuration of the 810 model.
The module interfaces directly with the rack controller through a fiber optic cable. The controller only permits the loading process when an active light pulse signal is present. Significantly, the fiber cable not only facilitates signal transmission but also provides crucial electrical isolation. This isolation distinctly separates the SeeLeveL system from the intrinsically safe wiring that’s integral to the loading rack.
Importantly, the controller recognizes only light pulses that originate from a 688M module. Its engineering enables it to withstand the influence of ambient light or output from a sender bar, ensuring fail-safe functionality. It operates solely on rack power, without the need for batteries, and functions exclusively when connected to an optic or thermistor rack.
Key points about the module and its operation:
- The module exclusively houses the optical transmitter.
- It establishes a direct connection to the rack controller via a fiber optic cable.
- The module emits light pulses that activate controller actions.
